Version a6a9951d - first version

Acceptable Use Policy

This policy describes what the platform may not be used for, and what we do when it is. It is part

of the Terms of Service. It is a draft prepared by the build and is subject to review and acceptance

by the owner and their counsel; the version hash on the page identifies exactly which text you are

reading.

The short version: send messages to people who asked to hear from you, about the business you told

them you were, and stop when they say stop.

1. Messaging without consent

You may not send a marketing or promotional message to anyone who has not given you consent to

receive it, in the form the law where they are requires. You may not:

  • Send to a purchased, rented, scraped or otherwise acquired list.
  • Send to a number or address you obtained for a different purpose than the one you are messaging

about.

  • Continue sending after an opt-out. Every opt-out keyword the carriers recognise is honoured by the

platform, and honouring it is not optional for you either.

  • Register traffic under a brand, campaign or use case that does not describe what you are actually

sending. The registration you file is a statement to the carriers, and a false one puts every

other sender behind the same registration at risk.

2. Content

You may not use the platform to send, store, or process content that:

  • Is unlawful where it is sent or received, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Promotes a category the carriers prohibit, including but not limited to high-risk financial

offers, controlled substances where they are not lawful, and gambling where it is not licensed.

  • Impersonates a person or an organisation, or misrepresents who is sending it.
  • Contains malware, or a link intended to obtain credentials or payment details under a false

pretext.

  • Harasses, threatens, or targets an individual.

3. The platform itself

You may not:

  • Circumvent, disable or attempt to defeat a rate limit, a spend cap, an isolation boundary or the

outbound gate.

  • Probe, scan or test the security of the platform without our written permission, or access data

that is not yours.

  • Resell access outside the plan that permits it, or share a single account across organisations to

avoid paying for them.

  • Use the platform to build a competing product by systematic extraction of its behaviour.
  • Run automated traffic at a volume that degrades the service for others.

4. Voice and recording

Where you use the voice features, you are responsible for the disclosure and consent that recording

a call requires in every jurisdiction the call touches. Some require all parties to agree. The

platform can announce a recording; whether it is lawful to make one is your decision and your

obligation.

5. Data you load

You may load personal data about your own customers. You may not load data you have no lawful basis

to hold, and you may not use the platform as a repository for data unrelated to the customer

relationships it exists to manage.

6. How we enforce this

Enforcement is proportionate and, wherever we can make it so, mechanical rather than discretionary.

  • Automatic. The outbound gate refuses a send when consent, registration or capability

conditions are not met. It fails closed: an unknown state stops the send rather than allowing it.

  • On report. A carrier complaint, an abuse report or an internal alert opens an investigation.

We will tell you what triggered it.

  • Suspension. Where the conduct is ongoing and causing harm, we may suspend sending or the

account. We aim to give notice first, and will say why when we cannot.

  • Termination. Repeated or deliberate breach ends the agreement.

We do not read your message content as a matter of routine. We look at what an investigation

requires, and we log that we looked.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using the platform in breach of this policy, tell us through the contact

page. Include what you received, from what number or address, and when. We treat a report from a

recipient with the same seriousness as one from a carrier.

8. Changes

When this policy changes, the previous text stays available at its own address and the version hash

on the page changes.
